This movie is filled with action and facts. This story is about an African who discovers a diamond worth a lot of cash, but in the meantime, loses his family and his son, who's been taken by African rebels. During this time, Danny Archer(Leonardo Dicaprio) is in search for this huge diamond. He eventually finds Solomon(The African) whom he becomes partners with. Danny promised Solomon his family in exchange for the location where he buried the diamond. During the search, Danny and Solomon encounter wars and rebellions. A lot of officials have been killed. But in the end, Solomon managed to get to the diamond. But Danny wanted it. Even though he was hit by a bullet, Danny helped Solomon find his family. In the process, Danny died because of the bullet. But luckily, he was able to let Solomon and his son escape.
I chose this movie because I loved the fact that Solomon and Danny, people of two different races, were able to have some brotherhood. They helped each other until the end. The part that struck me most was the part when Solomon met his son Dia. It was filled with emotion because at that time, Dia was already a rebel--which Solomon didn't want him to become.
I can relate to Danny Archer very well. Because in the movie, he's funny and he would do anything just to accomplish his goal. Some of the morals I've learned is that we should love one another Just like our Lord Jesus did.
